Executive Leader Program
The Executive Leader Program is provided as part of the Arkansas Department of Education's Arkansas Leadership Academy Program (ALA). It allows District Leaders to continue learning and growing through a network of support with colleagues across the state.
Three annual sessions provide keystone seminars on foundational topics such as strategic planning through mission and vision, financial governance, initiative implementation and cycles of inquiry, accountability and assessment metrics, the Science of Reading, HQIM implementation, and collaborative school board partnerships.
The program also includes one out of state visit during the year to a school that is beating the odds to provide outstanding academic achievement and student growth opportunities despite challenges of geography, socio-economic status, or language needs.
The ALA Executive Leader Program will be hosted at Winthrop Rockefeller Institute atop Petit Jean Mountain on the following dates:
September 22-23, 2026
December 3-4, 2026
March 31 & April 1, 2027
**Registration, meals, and room accommodations are grant funded, making participation free to eligible Arkansas Public School District Superintendents
Yearly applications for the program run from April 1st through July 31st
