Summer Professional Learning Retreat
The 2026 Summer Professional Learning Retreat will take place June 9–11, 2026, and will be held entirely virtually.
The Summer Professional Learning Retreat is an annual virtual event series hosted by APSRC, designed to help educators build skills and explore new strategies. The retreat spans three days and offers a variety of sessions, allowing participants to choose those that best align with their interests and professional goals. Each session is eligible for Professional Development (PD) hours at no cost. To support your schedule, live attendance is not required to benefit from the retreat. All registered participants will receive full access to session recordings, materials, and resources after the event, so you can engage with the content at a time that works best for you.

Explore five sessions focused on student readiness, educator career pathways, career and technical education, licensure options, and data-driven growth, presented by experts from DESE and APSRC.
Wednesday, June 10th I 8:30 A.M. - 3:35 P.M.
Day 2 - Strengthening Instruction Through Connections
Explore thirteen sessions focused on data analysis, instructional planning and alignment, effective teaching practices, assessment tools, standards-based instruction, and strategies to improve outcomes, presented by experts from APSRC and DESE.

Day 3 - Strengthening Access for ALL Learners

Registration
The Summer Professional Learning Retreat is hosted in Discere, APSRC’s learning platform. Registration in Discere is required to attend any session of the Summer Professional Learning Retreat. You’ll select and enroll in the sessions you want to attend through your account before the event.
Accessing Sessions
All sessions are accessed directly through Discere. Once registered, you will join sessions from your account—no Zoom links are used or sent. When it’s time for the session to start, log into your Discere account, return to the session page, and click the "Join" button to enter the virtual session.
Recordings & Flexibility
This is a fully flexible virtual event series. You are not required to attend live sessions to participate. All registrants will receive access to session recordings, materials, and resources after the event so you can learn on your own schedule.

Discere serves as your central hub for APSRC event registrations, certificates, session history, and materials—all in one place. Once registered, you’ll access virtual sessions directly through your Discere account. Attendance and certification history are tracked automatically. Step-by-step instructions are available here to help you get started.
Credit & Resources
Once your attendance is recorded, you’ll receive an email notifying you that the session is marked as complete. The email will include a link to the session page. When you open the page, you’ll need to complete a brief anonymous feedback survey. After completing the survey, you can download your certificate.
