APSRC Launches Leadership Lab Program: A Differentiated Approach to Building Educational Leadership Capacity
New professional learning initiative offers differentiated leadership pathways for educators at every stage of their leadership journey
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Arkansas Public School Resource Center (APSRC) is proud to announce the launch of Leadership Lab, a comprehensive professional learning initiative designed to build educational leadership capacity across Arkansas schools through differentiated learning pathways for educators serving in a variety of leadership roles.
Leadership Lab was designed to provide educators and school teams with opportunities to learn and grow in ways that are specific to their roles while increasing the leadership capacity within their schools for the benefit of student growth and achievement.
Through differentiated learning experiences, participants will gain practical skills, strategies, and leadership tools that can be immediately applied in their schools and classrooms. The program is intentionally structured to support educators at every stage of their leadership journey—from aspiring teacher leaders and instructional coaches to experienced principals and leadership teams.
The program provides targeted professional learning opportunities for principals, assistant principals, curriculum facilitators, instructional coaches, specialists, classroom teachers, aspiring administrators, and school leadership teams.

Leadership Lab Program Descriptions:
Instructional Leader Empowerment
Who: Curriculum Facilitators, Coaches, Specialists, and Assistant Principals
Focus: Building collective efficacy, aligning learning outcomes, providing quality feedback, and understanding measures of student growth to better support teacher teams and instructional practice building-wide.
Admin Roles - Assistant Principals, Deans Sept. 8 & 9, Oct. 6 & 7, Nov. 17 & 11/18, Jan. 14
Instructional Roles - Facilitators, Coaches Sept. 15 & 16, Oct. 14 & 15, Dec. 1 & 2, Jan. 27

Foundations of Leadership: Principals
Who: Early Career Building Level Principals
Focus: Creating building-wide coherence, mission and vision casting, recruiting and retaining staff and families, aligning instructional outcomes and navigating student performance data.
Dates: Sept. 29-30, Dec. 8-9, Feb. 9-10

Elevating Leadership: Principals
Who: Established Building-Level Principals
Focus: Creating a culture of innovation, differentiating student supports, creating systems for sustainability, stakeholder engagement for community support, scaling initiatives

Classroom Leadership Essentials
Who: Classroom Teachers who aspire to grow their leadership capacity
Focus: Building collaborative relationships, Leading teacher teams, analyzing student performance metrics to assist in identifying and modeling best instructional practices
Dates: Sept. 22 & 23, Nov. 3 & 4, Feb. 16 & 17

Aligned Leadership: School Teams
Who: A principal or district leader and their team (up to 8 members)
Focus: Identifying an organizational problem of practice and utilizing cycles of inquiry and strategic planning to implement solutions with measured benchmarks and outcomes
Dates: October 16, January 15, March 4th

Building Leadership: Prep and Placement (Pilot)
Who: An aspiring building principal with a foundational skillset of management and logistics
Focus: Equipping a prospective leader with the capacity to lead new schools from vision to curriculum implementation, high-quality instruction and actionable feedback, for the purpose of high-performing student outcomes from day one.
