LITTLE ROCK (April 17, 2026) –The Arkansas Public School Resource Center (APSRC) is proud to announce the award of Charter Schools Program (CSP) subgrants to five charter schools across Arkansas, marking a significant investment in the opening, replication, and expansion of high‑quality public charter schools that will serve students and families statewide.

The following schools received CSP subgrant awards:

  • Exalt Academy Southwest Little Rock High School – Open‑Enrollment New School Subgrant, up to $2 million

  • Arkansas Executive Prep – Open-Enrollment New School Subgrant, up to $2 million

These awards are made possible through APSRC’s five‑year, $61 million Charter Schools Program grant from the U.S. Department of Education under the Expanding Opportunity Through Quality Charter Schools Program – Grants to State Entities.

The Charter Schools Program (CSP) is designed to:

  • Increase the number of high-quality charter schools in Arkansas.

  • Improve educational outcomes for high-need students across Arkansas.

  • Strengthen the sustainability of Arkansas’s charter school sector.

CSP subgrant funding supports planning, implementation, replication, and expansion activities for charter schools over grant periods of up to three years. Schools were selected through a competitive application process designed to assess quality, capacity, sustainability, and impact.

APSRC is among only six state entities nationwide selected to receive CSP Grants to State Entities funding in FY 2025 following a rigorous peer review process administered by the U.S. Department of Education.
