AM session – Introduction to DOK (3 hours)
Participants will be introduced to Depth of Knowledge, the language of DOK, the difference between Blooms and DOK, the different DOK levels with examples, and practice evaluating tasks to determine DOK levels. Participants will also be shown how DOK relates to the ACT Aspire assessment and assessment task items.
PM Session – DOK Practice with the Formative Assessment Process (3 hours)
Participants will continue to develop general knowledge and understanding of DOK levels as well as the formative assessment process. This will enable educators to use the formative assessment process to identify, create, and assess objectives, tasks, and questions for each DOK level. (Participants will need to have a strong understanding of DOK)
