Course Options & Pricing
There are two options for purchasing digital courses: Course Only, which is utilizing Lincoln Learning’s course content with district teachers; and Teacher-Led, which utilizes both Lincoln Learning’s content and teacher facilitators. Pricing per student for each option is below.

Some courses have available course supplies and kits used to complete the course. These are not included with the price of the course but can be purchased separately. Purchasing kits and materials from Lincoln Learning Solutions is not required to complete any Lincoln Empowered course. However, students will need materials to complete certain coursework. The supply lists include recommended household items. Students can use this as a checklist to see what they already have available at home or through the school, or what could be sourced locally from a retailer. If a student does not have the materials to complete a graded Assess It, they can contact their teacher for recommendations on other ways to complete the assessment. - Teacher-Led Courses (TLC)
Schools wishing to enroll students in Lincoln Learning Teacher-Led courses should fill out the enrollment requests spreadsheet and return it to Joie Ketcham for processing. Enrollments should be received by the APSRC office 4 or more weeks prior to the course start date. The sooner the better. If you have them available now, we can get the ball rolling. This will provide time to process enrollments so students are ready to begin their course as of the listed start date.
- Content Only Courses
Enrollment in these courses will either be directly entered into the BUZZ platform by the district or through a One Roster process. Districts will be invoiced for student enrollments monthly.
Teacher-Led Courses (TLC)
These courses provide access to Lincoln Learning’s content with a Lincoln Learning teacher facilitator. Credit Recovery courses are also available with teacher services. Pricing for these courses is listed above.
Teacher info for eSchool (TLC):
Teachers are assigned to courses/students upon enrollment. The Lincoln Learning teacher’s name, generic SSN, AELS Case ID, and date of birth will be provided to you, via a password-protected document, for entry into eSchool after the enrollments are processed.
Lincoln Teacher/Student Expectations (TLC):
- Students are responsible for completing their own work, submitting their assignments in the LMS, abiding by the Academic Honor Code, meeting any deadlines required by the District, reading the lesson content, completing the course content in order, reviewing teacher feedback on assignments, and reaching out to teacher with any questions. Lincoln Learning teachers provide strong feedback and utilize rubrics embedded within the curriculum. Assessments will be graded within two business days (48 hours). Teachers can communicate via email, LMS messages, assessment feedback, Collaborate appointments, and conference calls (if applicable). Teachers will respond to all student communication within one business day (24 hours). Welcome letters from teachers will be sent to students upon their course enrollment.
- Teachers provide unique and specific feedback on student assignments within two business days. Teacher Facilitators respond to all student emails within one business day. Teacher Facilitators will reach out to students at regular intervals as part of progress monitoring for students who appear to be struggling. Teachers Facilitators offer weekly virtual Office Hours where students can drop in. Additionally, if a student can’t make Office Hours, they can set up a virtual appointment with the teacher.
School Contact/Mentor (TLC):
Students will need to have a local school “mentor” assigned to them. This mentor will be added to Pulse, Lincoln Learning’s enrollment management system, and will receive an account creation notification once they have been set up. Here the mentor will be able to monitor student progress at a glance and run enrollment reports.
This person will also be added to the Lincoln BUZZ platform. This will be a completely separate BUZZ account from what is used by the district for content-only services. Mentors will be given observer rights to students assigned to them. This role will allow them to look deeper into student progress, similar to what is available with the content-only service. This role allows you to proctor a student. The mentor assigned to a student will be able to see in the system and will be copied on system-generated notifications sent to the student through Pulse. These notifications include account creation, student enrollment, student progress, course completion, course expiration, etc.
The mentor will be responsible for uploading any IEP or 504 accommodations to the LMS that might be applicable to a digital learning environment. Accommodations and modifications will be implemented based on the student’s documented IEP or Section 504 Plan. A list of the specific accommodations and modifications that can be implemented is available upon request. Additionally, a Lincoln Learning liaison will work with schools to ensure accommodations are implemented and support the school with any Special Education questions regarding the curriculum.
Student Login (TLC):
Because this BUZZ platform is separate from the school’s content-only BUZZ platform, students enrolled with a Lincoln teacher will access a separate URL. Login credentials can be created in 2 ways.
- Login credentials can be set by the school. If you currently use or plan to use, Lincoln’s Buzz platform for content only, we recommend using the same login credential to minimize confusion for the students. (NOTE: If a username is one that’s already used in Pulse, the system will append a number at the end of the username (e.g. If there’s a user with the username john.smith, when the account is created in Pulse it will generate the following: john.smith1). When a district provides credentials, an Account Creation email will be sent but will only contain the username and the following: If you do not see a temporary password above, please use the password associated to your school account. If you do not know your school account password, please contact your school administrator. You will be responsible for providing them with their password.
- If the school does not wish to create its own login credentials on the enrollment request spreadsheet, PULSE will generate them. Their username and password will be emailed directly to them from email@example.com. The subject will be titled, Account Creation Notification.
Please be sure that lincolnlearningsolutions.org is whitelisted so that students can receive communication directly from Lincoln Learning and their teachers. Courses dropped within 30 days of the course start date will not be charged a fee. However, if a student withdraws from ALL courses within the 30 day grace period, the District will be responsible for a student activation fee of $25 for that student.
