In a press release, Governor Asa Hutchinson cited the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) has reported 1,165 new positive PCR tests and 143 new positive antigen tests for a total of 1,308 new cases of COVID-19 since Sunday. The cumulative number of positive cases in the state is at 134,348, of these, 16,485 are active. COVID-19 deaths in Arkansas are at 2,225. Eight hundred sixty-one (861) persons are hospitalized with COVID-19.
ADH reported 1,848 new cases on Saturday, and 874 new cases on Sunday.
ADH has received 10,329 PCR tests and 620 antigen tests within the past 24 hours. The top counties with the most new cases within the past 24 hours are:
- 161 in Washington County
- 130 in Pulaski County
- 70 in Benton County
- 64 in Sebastian County
- 63 in Craighead County
