The Arkansas Department of Health reported there are 345 new positive PCR tests and 114 new positive antigen tests within the past 24 hours for a total of 459 new cases of COVID-19 since Thursday. The cumulative number of confirmed positive cases in the state is 326,499, with 3,158 active cases. COVID-19 deaths in Arkansas are at 5,437. Two hundred fifty-nine (259) persons are hospitalized with COVID-19.
The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) received results from 6,105 PCR tests and 1,030 antigen tests within the past 24 hours. The top counties with the highest number of new cases in the past 24 hours are:
- 59 in Pulaski County
- 52 in Benton County
- 36 in Garland County
- 33 in Faulkner County
- 32 in Washington County
Arkansas has received or allocated 1,382,330 vaccine doses, and 816,397 total doses have been given. Arkansas is currently in Phase 1-B of its vaccination plan with all of the following categories eligible to receive vaccinations:
- Individuals 65 years and older
- Education workers
- Police, fire, and other first responders
- Corrections
- Food and agriculture
- People with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Essential government workers
- Grocery store/Meal delivery workers
- Postal/Package Delivery Service workers
- Public transit workers
- Houses of worship workers
- Manufacturing workers
The total number of Arkansas that have received at least 1 dose is 531,262, and the number of individuals fully immunized is 285,090.
