R.I.S.E. K-2 Day 2: Oral Language and Phonological Awareness

This session will focus on ways to increase opportunities to stimulate and improve conversations in the classroom. We will learn the importance of phonological and phonemic awareness in reading instruction by practicing speech sounds of consonants and vowels and using assessment to guide instructional techniques.
The session will be held at the APSRC office, Suite 375 in the Victory Building at 1401 W. Capitol Ave., Little Rock, AR 72201.
Parking is available in a garage located on 6th Street, which runs parallel to Capitol Avenue. The garage is connected to the Victory Building via a second-floor walkway. You will need $5 to cover all-day parking or $1 per hour for hourly parking. Metered parking also is available.
