Item Writing is Easy … So I Thought!
July 14 @ 12:30 pm - 3:30 pmFree
All good teachers write their own items for their class assignments, common formative assessments, and chapter tests; but what makes a good test item? What really makes a good key or good distractors? Do our students know how to analyze choices to determine the correct answer? We tend to teach our students how to find the correct answer, but we never really show them how to distinguish between a correct answer and a wrong answer. Come learn tricks of the trade on writing better test items and how to help your students analyze answer choices. Attendees should bring a computer.
The session will be held at the APSRC Office, Suite 315 in the Victory Building at 1401 W. Capitol Ave., Little Rock, AR 72201.
Parking is available in a garage located on 6th Street, which runs parallel to Capitol Avenue. The garage is connected to the Victory Building via a second-floor walkway. You will need $5 to cover all-day parking or $1 per hour for hourly parking. Metered parking also is available.
