Algebra 1 Content PD: Expressions, Equations, and Inequalities

This 3-day session is based on the learning progressions focusing on expressions, equations, and inequalities in Algebra 1. Participants will engage in developing a deeper understanding of this foundational content, how to build fluency from conceptual understanding within these standards, and how to make instructional decisions responsive to the needs of each student. The math content in this PD is aligned to the ACT Aspire, primarily the reporting categories of Expressions and Equations, Algebra, Modeling, and Justification and Explanation.

Date & Time: Wednesday, June 3 – Friday, June 5, 2020; 8:30 am to 3:30 pm each day.

The session will be held at the APSRC Office at the Victory Building, which is located at 1401 W. Capitol Ave., Little Rock, AR 72201. Lunch will be on your own.
Parking is available in a garage located on 6th Street, which runs parallel to Capitol Avenue. The garage is connected to the Victory Building via a second-floor walkway. You will need $5 to cover all-day parking or $1 per hour for hourly parking. Metered parking also is available.
