2023 DESE Introduction to Three-Dimensional Teaching and Learning with the Arkansas K-12 Science Standards

Learn how to interpret the Arkansas K-12 science standards to ensure the implementation of high-quality scientific content and instructional practices to implement phenomenon-based, three-dimensional teaching and learning.
This session is an introductory Grasping Phenomenal Science (GPS) session designed for science instructional leaders, math leaders who support science teachers, and K-12 teachers who want to become familiar with science instruction aligned with the Arkansas K-12 Science Standards. Participants engage in scientific discourse, experience student tasks, and create instructional plans specific to their roles.
The session will be held at Suite 375 in the Victory Building at 1401 W. Capitol Ave., Little Rock, AR 72201.
Parking is available in a garage located on 6th Street, which runs parallel to Capitol Avenue. The garage is connected to the Victory Building via a second-floor walkway. You will need $6 to cover all-day parking or $2 per hour for hourly parking. Metered parking also is available.
