The Arkansas Department of Education has set the bidding threshold requirement for the purchase of commodities under Arkansas Code Annotated § 6-21-304. Based on a 2.5% increase in the Consumer Price Index, the commodity bidding threshold will increase from $20,000 to $20,500 for the 2018-19 school year. In any instance where the estimated purchase price is equal to or above $20,500, the commodity shall be procured by soliciting bids. Read More

Effectively immediately for FY18 all legal balance transfers from the general operating fund (2001) to the building fund can be transferred only to the designated/required building fund/source of fund (3200). The only revenue allowed in this fund will be transfers from the general operating fund (2001). The IRS has extended the 2018 deadline by which certain entities must provide 2017 health coverage information forms to individuals. Insurers, self-insuring employers, other coverage providers, and applicable large employers now have until March 2, 2018, to provide Forms 1095-B or 1095-C to individuals. APSRC will provide training completion certificates to school board members following the completion of each school board training session. The certificate will indicate the date, location, the number of hours earned, and topics covered. Certificates will be emailed to the Educational Cooperative leaders to be passed on to school superintendents and school board members. Read More
